How is a Lip Injection Performed?

The first step toward lip filler treatment is a consultation appointment. Dr. Olga Nazarov will do a physical examination of your face and lips and discuss the best options for you. During the initial consultation, you will also be asked for your medical history, current medications, or any allergies. Dr. Nazarov will suggest the best lip shape unique for you. Before the treatment, a numbing cream will be applied to ease any discomfort and pain during the injection. Olga will then administer a dermal filler using either a needle or blunt microcannula, or both, to the target areas to smooth lines and add volume to your lips. To reduce post-injection swelling, an ice pack will be applied after treatment.

Your final lip filler results will be seen after 10-14 days from your initial lip augmentation appointment after the swelling subsides. Recovery time varies for each patient and for each type of dermal filler injected.
