What is Jeuveau?
Jeuveau is one of the newer “-tox” injectables that uses botulinum toxin A to smooth fine lines and wrinkles and reduce signs of aging. Botulinum toxin A relaxes the muscles beneath the skin to stop them from contracting and creating wrinkles on the overlying skin. This creates a smooth, glowing complexion.
What Areas Can Jeuveau Treat?
Jeuveau is approved to treat glabellar lines (often called frown lines) on the forehead between the eyes. It can also improve the appearance of nasolabial folds, which are the lines extended from the corners of the mouth to the bottom of the nose, and fine lines around the lips.
Candidates
Jeuveau is a safe and effective treatment for most patients hoping to improve signs of aging. If you have cardiovascular disease or take muscle relaxers, let us know before receiving treatment since this injectable can interact negatively with your medication.
Jeuveau Treatment
When you come in for treatment, Olga will cleanse your face to remove all makeup and skincare products covering the treatment site. Jeuveau is injected into five sites using a small needle; these injections only take about 15 minutes. After your treatment, you may experience minor swelling, bruising, and redness for a few days, but this will quickly subside. While the area is bruised, avoid rubbing the injection sites since this can cause the injectable to shift and negatively alter your results.
Results
Jeuveau offers slightly longer-lasting results than Botox and will last about 5-6 months.
